The Plano Independent School District offers a number of programs for preschool children: Early Childhood Schools tuition-supported and state and federal programs; Early Learning Center Preschools at our three senior high schools; Even Start; Head Start; and Kindergarten.

Beaty, Pearson, and Barron Early Childhood Schools invite parents to take a
look at the education process for the very young learner at numerous tours
scheduled this spring. Each of the campuses continues to register three- and
four-old students for this school year and for the upcoming school year.

At each tour, families will learn about school features, which include fully
certified teachers, fine arts programs, library media centers,
state-of-the-art technology and child-centered playgrounds. The schools
offer morning and afternoon sessions.

Tours are scheduled as follows:

Pearson Early Childhood School, 4000 Eagle Pass
   1:00 p.m. - February 25, March 18, April 15, and May 13

Barron Early Childhood School, 3300 Avenue P
   9:00 a.m. - February 18, March 18, April 1, and May 6

Beaty Early Childhood School, 1717 Nevada
   9:00 a.m. -  February 11 and March 18
   1:00 p.m. -  January 28 and February 25
   (April and May tours will be planned as needed.)

Children who live in Plano ISD and are three years old or four years old on
or before September 1 are eligible to enroll in these tuition-supported
prekindergarten programs.  Parents pay a tuition fee in 10 monthly
installments of $300. There is an additional non-refundable registration fee
of $100 per child.

Bettye Haun Elementary School is located on the northern perimeter of the Deerfield neighborhood. Students from kindergarten through fifth grade attend this school.

Robinson Middle School is located southeast of Deerfield just south of Legacy Drive on Preston Meadow. Students attending this school are in sixth through eighth grade.

Plano West's Home Page

Plano West Senior High School, the newest senior high in Plano, opened its doors for the first time August 2, 1999. This school is located at the corner of Parker and Willow Bend Drive just west of Preston and a short 10 minute drive from Deerfield. Students in eleventh and twelfth grade attend this school.
